My work on events ranges from corporate functions, awards dinners and product launches to film, theatre, dance, circus and music, and sometimes sports too.  If there’s a constant, it’s that I’m comfortable in situations where I’m not in complete control – not directing, setting up lighting, or staging something for the camera.

The images you see here tend to be grabbed on the fly as events unfold, often the first time I’ve seen a show in rehearsal.  Some come from careful planning and preparation, others from an instinct that led me to be in a certain spot at the right time.  It’s hard to describe how I choose a moment or a position; often it’s as much a hunch as anything else.  But what I’ve found, over the years, is that I should trust those hunches!
