Today in New Zealand International Arts Festival history: The Lindbergh Flight rehearsals (2008)
Continuing on from my previous post - here you can see the progress over a week of rehearsals for The Lindbergh Flight / The Flight Over The Ocean, the opera at the New Zealand Festival in 2008. As I mentioned then, the first image image here is a surprising match for one I took a week before, when we were in the rehearsal hall!
As with yesterday's post about festival setup, this one also features a lot of the crew at work - the accompanist, the conductor, technical staff, stage management - not just the finished production, but the process of getting it there in time for opening night.
I've always loved that one of the stage manager surrounded by people who just need one thing before we start again - she's trying to get off stage with a chair, and is probably going to get there eventually, but not just yet!
