Academy Award winner and director of The Hobbit, Guillermo Del Toro (Pans Labyrinth, Hellboy) has pledged to support local film producer Bonnie Slater by appearing at an event to help raise financing toward her debut feature film, Roots, Rock & Harmony, to be directed by Sam Kelly.  The evening will be hosted by director Jonathan King (Black Sheep, Under The Mountain).
