January 7, 2011 Robert Catto Just got a copy of this in the mail today, the January ‘11 issue of l’Actualité, all the way from Montreal, with one of my images (amongst many others) on the cover - though at least mine was pretty prominent, right below the headline in the centre. That’s conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, now music director of the Philadelphia Orchestra (and one of their people who made 2010), who I met and photographed a couple of years ago when he appeared as guest conductor with the NZSO National Youth Orchestra here in Wellington. (See those photos in my gallery here…and once again thanks to Photoshelter, for letting someone find image files in my archive from Montreal while we were all sleeping over here in NZ!) Have to say, the coordinatrice photo at l’Actualité was a treat to work with - I got an email out of the blue in mid-November, and while there was a little work to do in choosing, locating and preparing the file for their use, she had a budget to work with, a bit of time before the deadline, paid the invoice immediately, my credit appears with the image, and they sent me a copy of the magazine for my files. Everything a photographer could want in a client. Merci bien!
