March 10, 2011 Robert Catto My friend Matt Beveridge set up a fundraising photography auction this week, to raise money to help Christchurch rebuild itself; and managed in the span of an hour or two (well, plus a LOT of work beforehand!) to raise $2789 for the cause. Nice work, Matt; that’s him on the right, with Dan - also from Wellington Photographic Supplies - on the left. The important lesson of the night was that I can’t be trusted at charity auctions. (At least, not as far as ‘setting a limit and sticking to it’ goes!) I mean, I should really have known that from my experiences on Trademe, but…did it help? No. At least it was for a good cause, though!
