May 3, 2011 Robert Catto One more X100 image, from yesterday morning in fact. We’ve had an amazing couple of days for winter light, which around here is fairly low in the sky the whole day long. Yesterday had the bonus of creeping fog until about 2 in the afternoon, which was nice as I was rushing in to town for a meeting in the truly gorgeous first light, and couldn’t stop to shoot it - though of course everyone else was half an hour late, so I could have! But at least there was some left, when I headed home again at lunchtime. Unusually, it didn’t cover the airport this time, but came in through the mouth of the harbour and over the hills at Seatoun, then seemed to rest over Lower Hutt for quite a while. So we could still hear planes taking off and landing, but also fog horns from the ferries coming and going…
