February 6, 2011 Robert Catto Just been through ‘take me to the river’ at Pataka in Porirua this afternoon, really impressive - a great collection of images from the ardh mela in Allahabad, India by photographer John Williams. Looks like he was shooting with at least two cameras while he was there, a square format of some kind as well as a Hasselblad XPan (I’m guessing) which does both 35mm and panoramic formats. Not that it matters really - the images are great, that’s the important thing! There’s a talk with John on March 6 at 2pm - might have to come back for that…
